About Us

At Indie Author Revolution, we’re more than a business —
we’re a movement. We exist to support and uplift independent writers who are ready to take control of their publishing journey. Founded by indie authors, for indie authors, our mission is simple:

  • Empower writers to self-publish with confidence.
  • Create spaces where indie authors can be heard.
  • Provide tools, education, and community support for long-term success.

Though we operate as a for-profit company (Indie Author Revolution, LLC, registered in Arizona), we are wholly owned by The Indie Author Revolution, a Texas nonprofit corporation. Our nonprofit has been formed under Texas law and is preparing its application for federal tax-exempt 501(c)(3) status.

Our structure doesn’t define our purpose. We reinvest 100% of our revenue into the Revolution — funding educational courses, community events, scholarships, and tools designed to make self-publishing more accessible for all. We’re not here to get rich — we’re here to reshape the industry.

Meet Our Team

Black Dahlia – Volunteer CEO and COO

Black Dahlia is a writer, mom, wife — and cancer survivor — who may have started writing just to avoid doing laundry. She’s currently channeling her signature chaos into her debut novel, This Quiet Violence — a spicy, psychologically twisted tale of feminine rage.

Known for emotionally wrecking her readers with alarming consistency, Dahlia writes dark romance, horror, and tragedy, all laced with sharp wit and a very dark sense of humor.

As CEO and COO of The Indie Author Revolution, LLC, she’s also notorious for her all-caps pep talks and unapologetic passion for indie voices.

S.B. Ellie – Volunteer Vice Chair and CFO

S.B. Ellie is a Texas-based author who writes dark, emotionally charged fiction — blending romance, horror, thrillers, and why-choose with a taste for the twisted. Her debut novel, Ruined in Blood, dives headfirst into demons, cults, cursed bonds, and morally gray lovers you’ll fall for (even when you shouldn’t).

When she’s not writing or working with fellow authors, she’s chasing her kids across the farm, floating in the pool with her husband, and plotting her next fictional sin.

At The Indie Author Revolution, LLC, Ellie serves as Volunteer Vice Chair, as well as the CFO, where she supports indie authors directly and oversees the creation of educational content and resources designed to empower and equip the writing community.

Cypher C. – Volunteer TSS

Cypher is an indie author with a passion for sci-fi, zombies, and stories that blur the line between chaos and heart. Based in the land of earthquakes and avocados (California, naturally), she writes sharp, immersive fiction with a twist—and always with a little bite.

A proud former fan-fiction writer, Cypher found her voice in emotional angst, dramatic reveals, and just the right amount of over-the-top flair. Now, she channels that same energy into original works that explore survival, identity, and what it means to fight back. Writing became her escape from reality — especially the never-ending list of chores — and somewhere along the way, it turned into something much bigger.

With a few college English courses and a whole lot of stubborn creativity, she’s proof that powerful storytelling doesn’t need a degree — just guts, grit, and a love of the strange.

When she’s not building fictional worlds or emotionally wrecking her readers, Cypher is probably gaming, dodging laundry, or mentally drafting her next zombie apocalypse survival plan.

A.E. Amaris – Volunteer Management

A.E. Amaris is a Dystopian and Fantasy author currently conjuring up her debut novel, set to release in early 2026. When she’s not wrangling plot twists or epic character ARCs, she’s wrangling toddlers as a full-time, stay-at-home mom.

A lifelong lover of storytelling, A.E. is also a seasoned Dungeons & Dragons Game Master who crafts immersive worlds both on the page and at the table. Her passion for the eerie and uncanny runs deep — fueled by Halloween, horror movies, and eight thrilling years working as a professional Scare Actor.

In her spare time, she lends her magic behind the scenes as the Volunteer Manager for the Indie Author Revolution, LLC, helping build a community where indie voices are heard, supported, and celebrated.

Whether she’s building kingdoms or haunted houses, one thing’s for sure: she thrives in the dark, and she’s not afraid to drag her readers there with her.

Erin Silva – Volunteer Client Services Representative and PR Rep

Erin Silva is a former critical care nurse turned stay-at-home, homeschooling mom of three — and a proud military spouse. She now channels her passion for helping others into writing romantic suspense with a dark, emotional edge.

Her debut novel, Unspoken Destiny, tackles real-world trauma through a gripping fictional lens, exploring how people survive, cope, and heal in the face of life-altering events. When she’s not writing or answering questions, you’ll find her planning homeschool lessons, managing the chaos of extracurriculars, and embracing the beautiful mess of motherhood.

In addition to writing, she volunteers as the Client Service Representative for The Indie Author Revolution, LLC, where she handles day-to-day inquiries and supports the needs of our growing creative community.
